Shops@Waterline is a vibrant collection of individual studios and a shared common space in which a group of carefully selected artists, makers, and skilled crafts-people can design, create and sell their goods.

Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone has historically been an industrial, marine and manufacturing district, however, as many of those industries moved from the area, The Funk Zone was left by the wayside while surrounding areas were revitalized and renewed. The positive offshoot of that neglect is that it became a rare respite for local artists and craftspeople, but in recent years that funky artist community has started to give way to more commercial endeavors. Conscious of the sometimes intangible but undeniably negative impact that will have on the community at large, Waterline placed great importance on providing space for a concept that will support and nourish the Funk Zone's creative roots.

Shops@Waterline (formerly The Guilded Table) is a marketplace of maker and artist studios in the heart of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. It is filled with goods from art, apparel, jewelry and body products to home goods, gifts, ceramics, and photography. Our lineup includes:

  • The Grapeseed Company
  • Jess Conti Leather Goods
  • John Baran Animal Art
  • Jules by the Sea
  • La Vereda
  • Leif
  • Local Prints by Serigraph
  • Meadow Rose Photo Art
  • Moscow Mule Copper
  • Peter Horjus
  • Seashore Lane
  • Thunder Moon Collective
  • wallspace

We regularly host popups, workshops, and the space is also available for corporate events and private parties. The best part is that you can enjoy a glass of wine from Fox Wine Co. while you’re shopping or attending one of our events!
